KNOLL – TULIP OVAL
The Tulip table is part of the famous collection designed by Eero Saarinen, an American architect and designer of Finnish origin, for Knoll in 1957. Saarinen’s intention was to eliminate the traditional legs of tables and chairs, using modern plastic materials, which for some time had been at the center of his interests as a designer.
The Tulip table and coffee table have an aluminum base covered in glass-fibre reinforced plastic material, available in black or white. For the top, you can choose a black or white laminate, satin or lacquered, or you can opt for the natural oak wood or for one of the many marbles: ranging from the light tones of the Calacatta, Arabescato and Statuarietto marbles to the colorful Verde Alpi, Nero Marquina, Rosso Rubino, Brown Emperador or Noir Sahara. All the marble surfaces are treated with a transparent protective finish in polyester, stain resistant.
